Going to the gym, practicing yoga, lounging, and even going grocery shopping these days, require a good pair of leggings. And ladies, if you’re like me, you can’t see a reason to spend over $70 bucks for a pair of leggings that you’re probably going to wear around the house. Amiright? Especially in times of a pandemic like the one we are currently in, all you want to do is slip on a good pair and not have to worry about changing if you need to step out.
What are the Best Leggings to Buy?
There are a few options I’ve come across that are pretty good and don’t break the bank. And while these are not all cotton or organic, they are pretty comfortable and reasonable for the price. And all of these leggings are available on Amazon too.Number 4 is by far my most favorite.
These leggings are extra stretchy and provide a level of comfort without the compression. The high waist and wide band for tummy control are great. These also breathe well. Oalka have a variety of colors and some leggings with pockets. I think leggings with pockets are the way to go. So, if you are buying from Amazon, make sure you are selecting the ones that have the side pocket option, since not all of them do.
Price: ~ $9-$19
A mix of polyester and spandex, these leggings do have good compression while soft to the touch. These are extra high waisted, for extra tummy control – which we all love. They stretch well (read: 25% spandex) and are not transparent when stretched. They do not have side pockets, but they do have great colors and prints!
Price: ~ $22.99 – $29.99
These leggings are a mix of nylon and spandex. They are comfortable and breathable too. While it starts off in the $20 range, they do go up to $43. The price change is based on the type of legging and the size you choose. These are high waisted with the inner key pocket (around the waist band). Some of the large and extra large options also come with side pockets. The lack of extra seams on the sides makes for a smoothness around your legs. I wear these for my meditation sessions. I need comfort and blood flow when sitting in various meditative positions. Make sure you are sitting right with the right leggings. Read more about the basics of meditation and sitting positions.
Price: $20.99 – $42.59
These are my favorite pair of leggings. Their stitching provides a nice contour for your behind and thighs. They provide enough stretch without feeling like you have to constantly pull them up. Ododos have options of buying in pairs, or also the option to buy the capris length. Overall the material feels so good and has zero transparency when stretched. They have a ton of colors and options. This is a winner for me.
Price: $22.79 – $47.98
These leggings are great for a heavy workout. They claim to use high quality moisture wicking fabrics to pull out the moisture. These are a combination of polyester and spandex materials. They are easy to put on and hold you in the right places with the right strength. They come with side pockets too!
Over the past couple of years, I have bought my leggings and yoga pants from one of these companies. While the big name brands have quality options, these are not too far off either. If you take care with each piece when washing and drying the correct way, they last for a long time, and quality does hold up.
If you know of any leggings that are better and under $30, would you care to share?
